While McCain marches on, Ron Paul picked up the endorsement of Arlo Guthrie. Guthrie said:

“Dr. Paul is the only candidate I know of who would have signed the Constitution of the United States had he been there, I’m with him, because he seems to be the only candidate who actually believes it has as much relevance today as it did a couple of hundred years ago.”

Amen. And while Arlo was never exactly my kinda guy, I really do appreciate his family legacy and especially the work of his father Woody (not all of it by I like the music). In fact, Woody Guthrie’s hunting ballad City of New Orleans might make the perfect theme song for the Paul campaign. Just as Guthrie memorialized the passing of the train age so Paul’s campaign memorializes the passing of the Old Right.

Rather, he sounds like the John F. Kennedy candidate of 2008. First sweet Caroline and now Uncle Ted have agreed. Lord help the Republicans if they have to face Camelot rebuilt. The Clinton’s are attacking but I think the ruins are being restored.
If so, Conservatives may be a long time in the wilderness.

Ron Paul’s silver medal got me to thinking: we need a RP church in Nevada. I nominate Rev. Chellis to be our missionary to Las Vegas.
